Lately we have been having a spike of chlorine and gas attacks, so we like to catch people off guard and see hopefully if we can catch something."

STORYLINE:
An Associated Press Television camera crew, embedded with US forces in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, and so subject to military restrictions, filmed US soldiers seizing a cache of munitions from the boot of a civilian's car on Tuesday.
The US military had set up a checkpoint and were randomly searching Iraqis in Sadr City, a rundown Shiite district in the north-east of the city, when they discovered the cache.
"This was just a random stop, this gentleman ends up having all sorts of ammunition and different types of munitions in his trunk," Lieutenant Derek Syed said.
"So we will probably bring him in for further questioning and figure out why he has got what he has," he added.
"Lately we have been having a spike of chlorine and gas attacks, so we like to catch people off guard and see hopefully if we can catch something," Syed said.
The man was handcuffed and put in the back of an armoured US military vehicle.
The cache included ammunition for a machine gun, AK47 rifles and 9mm pistols.
It also included electrical tape, an electronic switch and a battery, a press card and three badges with Saddam Hussein's portrait on them.
