BIOFREEZE PERFORMANCE CENTER, SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Here’s Jordan Poole close-up off some movement. Earlier, he did some upfakes which reminded me a LOT of Klay’s 👉 Jordan Poole 💦 workouts for the JP workout playlist.
Please note: #ChrisDeMarco later told me that these aren’t the same drills as #Klay’s, but are similar as you’d might expect (from my tons of #KlayThompson workout footage in the past). For aspiring two-guards, feel free to use this post like a training video 😎 NBA stuff in here, free of charge!
I just wanna add for the record I’m all-in on #JordanPoole as #SplashBaby and have been since #NBASummerLeague, although if you’ve been around the game for decades you know better not to jinx it by hyping it up too much — we can now look back and laugh about my Jeremy Lin articles, even though I ended up being right 😉
So, like I said, sometimes the hype doesn’t even really help the player. At the same time, with the normal basketball development that JP must go through, just remember he’s displaying some elite NBA shooting guard skills you don’t normally find in a 19-year-old. And I‘ve already said on our podcast the fact that #MikeDunleavy specifically wanted to see if Poole could handle physicality and the #Big12 games that Dunleavy scouted, JP checked that box.
One more aside: I cannot believe YouTube algorithms didn’t flag this for the background music. Hopefully it holds up, but bottom line: I wasn’t sure DeMarco’s (now-free-for-the-public) training would see the light of day. Whew! 😅
From Golden State Warriors (0-1 preseason) practice, 2 days before Minnesota Timberwolves, at Biofreeze Performance Center inside Chase Center in San Francisco, CA.
NOTE: Sometimes it is difficult to get closer to the interviewee when there is a large scrum. In these cases, we will do our best to obtain the audio from another reporter or the official Warriors audio at SoundCloud: warriors. Please note that it may take some time to splice the audio with the video. Finally, the foremost reason why the video is often times shaky is because we are simultaneously filming on other platforms such as Twitter or Instagram.
