Hello, everyone. My name is Jazmine and my parents abandoned me for getting pregnant at 14. It got so bad I had to sell my clothes and eat trash.
I was brought up with a silver spoon. My parents were rich, so we lived with maids and nannies. But it wasn’t a happy childhood. From the second I came out into this world, everything was decided for me. The school I’ll go to, the university I’ll study in, everything. My parents even picked out friends for me. But they were all so shallow and I felt really lonely. Until this one person burst that bubble.
It was my 14th birthday and my parents prepared this big celebration with ridiculously old school dresses, classical music and all that. I was fed up with all of them in the evening, so I went to our garden and just sat on the swing. That’s when I heard footsteps. I turned around and saw the most handsome guy I’ve ever seen. As soon as I heard him say, “Can I join you?” I recognized who it was - Kingsley. He was a genius, he graduated high school at 15 and had tons of awards in math. He sat on the swing with an irresistible smirk. I couldn’t say a word. “Why are you looking at me like that? You’ve never seen a smart person with personality?” - he laughed and I just kept nodding. He took my hand and we started walking away from my house. Only if I knew that this night would change everything. He took me to the rooftop of a tall office building. We connected immediately, he was the only person that understood me. In the midst of our discussion, I felt his hand on my waist and he whispered: “If you’re not gonna stop me, I’m gonna kiss you”. And I didn’t stop him. I didn’t stop him for a loooong time. And we did way more than that. In the morning, I opened my eyes, feeling like a completely different person. But then I remembered that my parents are probably panicking. I woke him up, dressed up and ran back home.
