📝  INGREDIENTS:
Whole Wheat flour - 1.24 Cups (200 g)
Cocoa Powder (Unsweetened) - 5 Tbsp (30 g)
Salt - 1/2 Tsp
Baking Soda - 1 Tsp
Sugar (Granulated) - 3/8th Cup (100 g) [**If you're mot adding simple syrup then add 200 g (3/4th Cup) of granulated sugar**]
Yogurt - 3/4th Cup (215 g)
Oil - 1/2 Cup + 1 Tsp (120 g)
Milk - 1/2 Cup (165 g)
Instant Coffee - 1 Tsp
Vanilla Essence - 1 Tsp

** Bake for about 23 to 25 mins. in a pre-heated oven at 180°C (350°F) **

Recipe for SIMPLE SYRUP:

✅  NOTE: I divided the amount of sugar in cake and simple syrup equally (i.e., 100 g of sugar in cake and 100 g of sugar in simple syrup). Adding simple syrup to your cake makes it juicy but if you prefer eating your cake without simple syrup then add 200 g of sugar (3/4th Cup) into your cake while baking.

Sugar - 3/8th Cup (100 g)
Water - 3/8th Cup (90 ml)

Procedure: Mix sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved. You can also slightly heat it.

👉🏼  SUGGESTIONS:
* All the ingredients you use should be of room temp.

* If you are using a hand blender or a hand mixer then adjust its speed to low.

* I used 100% Whole Wheat Flour into this cake but instead you can use all purpose flour also.

* Be sure to sift your flour and cocoa powder to ensure no lumps.

* Adding oil into cakes or cupcakes makes them softer and also they don’t get hard even if you refrigerate.

* Simple Syrup is nothing but equal parts of sugar and water.

* I used 8 by 2 inch cake tin (8 inches in diameter and 2 inches in height). You can cut your cake into layers with desired thickness but if you are baking each layer separately (i.e., one layer at a time) then it would take around 10 to 12 mins. to bake at 180°C (350°F).

* It took me 23 mins. to bake this cake. But as every Oven is different keep checking your cake after 20 mins.

* After baking allow the cake to cool down for about 5 to 10 mins. in the mould before demoulding.

* You can frost your cake with plain whipped cream as per your preference. But I kept it all chocolatey with chocolate ganache icing.
