Hello Friends!
In today’s Video Lets start with Basics of Jurisprudence!
Mainly there are 4 Schools of Jurisprudence:

1. Analytical School
2. Philosophical School
3. Historical School
4. Sociological School

In chaaron Schools of Jurisprudence ka main difference ye hai - ki how do they Define Law - What is Law? However, Each School of Jurisprudence has a place of its own in connection with the particular law out of which it grows!

ANALYTICAL SCHOOL - The main aspect of this School is ‘Relationship of Law with State’
Main Exponents of this School are Jeremy Bentham and John Austin. Both are popularly Known as the Fathers of Analytical School.

Jeremy Bentham in his book ‘Limits of Jurisprudence Defined’ said that State`s objective is to provide and ascertain Maximum Liberty and Maximum Happiness - This is Known as Doctrine of Utility. According to Bentham, the Ultimate End of Law is "Greatest Happiness of Greatest Number” and the Ultimate Purpose of Law is  "To Bring Pleasure and Avoid Pain” - To eradicate hurdles on the Freedom of Human Being - this means that Bentham was a supporter of Laissez Faire - ‘Let the Men Free’
John Austin is known as the Father of Analytical School of Jurisprudence
His Lectures are accumulated in the name of 'Province of Jurisprudence Defined’ - According to him "Law is a Rule laid down for the Guidance of an Intelligent Being By an Intelligent Being having Power over him”
Law is a Command by the Sovereign backed by Sanction.
Anything that is not a Command is not a Law.
