The former industrial railway, originally designed for transporting the heavy building materials used to construct the dam, now takes adventurous hikers from the valley to 1,860 metres above sea level in next to no time. With a maximum gradient of 106%, this single-carriage funicular train is the 2nd steepest in Europe. Since 2017, the Stoos Railway of Switzerland (maximum gradient of 110%) has been the steepest funicular in the world (This ride can also be watched on our channel: Stoosbahn - World's Steepest Funicula...)
