This is Part 1 of Professor Fink's Arthrology Lecture. This Lecture reviews the anatomic & functional classes of joints of the body including Fibrous Connective Tissue Joints (including Sutures, Syndesmosis & Gomphosis), Cartilaginous Joints (including Synchondrosis & Symphysis), and Synovial Joints. Also presented are the movements occurring at Synovial Joints, including flexion, extension, hyperextension, circumduction, dorsiflexion, plantarflexion, abduction, adduction, lateral rotation, medial rotation, supination, pronation, eversion, inversion, elevation, depression, protraction & retraction. Reference is made to nucleus pulposus, annulus fibrosis, herniated disk, synovial fluid, synovial membrane, and fibrous capsule.
