The Plant Traveller: Opuntia Trail - prickly pear for u

Hello friends.  Join me on a walk as we look at various species of Opuntia.  Opuntia are New World cactus known for their beautiful flowers, in spite of their spines and glochids.  They are easily grown from seeds in a communal pot  for at least 18 months. But pads or stems can reduce the time of waiting for them to grow if placed in damp porous soil..

This channel will illustrate my deep interest in flora, and will document my many journeys around the world enjoying gardens and habitats.
