My name is Caleb Bryant and for 10 years I fought depression. On September 3rd, 2005, my whole world changed. I was given the news that I had been in an explosion, and six of my siblings had been killed. I was in shock, I couldn’t believe that this was real. Over time I was hurting, I was depressed, and I was angry. I didn’t understand why something like this would happen. I wanted to give up, I wanted to end it all because I was too broken to be worth anything. I didn’t understand why I made it out alive and they didn’t. I felt like I deserved to be up on the hill where they’re buried. Slowly, with the help of countless people, I overcame my depression. Heart Support was immensely helpful in this process, and that is why this cause is so dear to me. Every 12.3 seconds, someone commits suicide in the United States. I want to use my story to change this statistic and show people who are hurting they can overcome. My goal is to reach 25,000 people who are struggling with depression. To do this I will be running in a half marathon on April 7th, 2019 and raising money until that date. For every $50 donation, 175 people can be reached. I want to give you the opportunity to make an impact by giving. I also want to remind you that there is power in YOUR story, and when you use that power to impact those around you, your life will change. Together, we will achieve this goal, and together....
