Magi Burr v Traditional Method Of Drilling Review

Magi Burr v Traditional method of drilling, overall I still prefer the traditional method of drilling even though the magi burr has its place in my tool box. Overall there was not much difference in time so whats the advantages ?
Advantages

The Magi Burr will work better when coming up against security escutcheons as the 3mm burr will fit inside the gap of the security escutcheon causing less damage.
(2)
The price of the Magi Burr for about £15 (Sept 2022) if it works on 4 locks or more is better priced than the Multi-construction bit I normally use.
(3)
Using the Magi Burr reduces the risk of the drill bit slipping and damaging door handles and also reduces the risk of the drill bit being pushed to the left or right of the lock when hitting anti drill pins which can be found below the shear-line.
Disadvantages
(1)
Going above the locks shear-line you are unable to count the pins as you go through so are guessing where the bit is in the lock so there is a bit of stop and start.
(2) And of course going above the shear-line if you do not drill the lock correctly or the burr snaps in the lock (like it did on another I drilled) it provides more problems than if this happened below the shear-line as you could still go above to help alleviate the problem.
(3) You can pick up the multi-construction bits at any Toolstation or Screwfix whereas at the moment the Magi Burr is distributors only.

The use of the Magi Burr with a rotary tool is a new method but overall I still prefer the traditional method of drilling locks and start below the shear-line which gives me options to go above although the Magi Burr will probably be ideal for drilling though security escutcheons and probably of use when coming across trap pins.
