How to convert transmittance data to absorbance uv-vis spectroscopy
According to beer’s law
Absorbance A =-logT%
A = -log I/I0
Where A is absorbance
I is the Intensity of light transmitted through the sample solution
I0 is the intensity of incident light, 100 percent I0=100
Solving above equation
A=-(logI-logI0)= logI0 - logI=log(100)-logI=2-logI
A=2-logI
We will use this equation to convert transmittance data to absorbance
Lets convert
