C.A.N.C.E.R (Spoken Word Slam Poetry by Amber Dewstow)

I feel like this video needs a bit of background information. So, next month is the first year anniversary of my Nan's death. Yesterday was World Cancer Day. It has taken me a whole year to upload this video, swallowed in grief and hate to what this word has done to me. My Nan came to live with me at home, knowing that she was terminally ill and needed constant care, our whole family sacrificed to make sure the last few months were as good as possible for her. It eats away at you to watch someone you love die; but it did teach me compassion, how to care and the whole life experience genuinely saved my soul and made me a better person. So this poem is the aftermath; the feelings, the thoughts, the anger, but also the remembrance for all those lost to the terrible disease. I hope you all enjoy it.
