How To Make Crispy Baked Tofu!

Recipe:
250gr firm tofu
For the marinade:
1tbsp soy sauce
1tsp paprika powder
1/2tsp ginger powder
1tsp chili paste
1tbsp sesame oil
1tbsp water
For the crispy layer:
2tbsp cornstarch
1tsp paprika powder
1tsp vegan chicken seasoning
Start by cutting your tofu into bite sized pieces. Then press the tofu. I like to cut my tofu before pressing it cause you get way more water out of it then if you would press the whole block I think. I press the tofu between a towel and add a cutting board and a heavy pan on top, so no need for a special tofu press! Press for however long you can, I usually do 20-30 minutes.
In the meantime mix all the ingredients for the marinade.
Once the tofu has been pressed, add the pieces to a bowl and mix the marinade in with it. I let mine marinade for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on how much time I have. But you can also let it marinate in a container overnight in the fridge.
Mix the ingredients for the crispy layer.
Take the tofu out of the marinade and add the pieces to a clean bowl. Then mix in the cornstarch mixture that we made. Make sure all the pieces are evenly coated.
Put the tofu pieces on a baking tray lined with parchement paper for 20-25 minutes on 200C (400F), flipping the pieces halfway through.
Once the tofu is done, eat it like this or add some sauce to the pieces. Enjoy!
