Clarity: Introduction to Vagueness and Ambiguity - (Critical Thinking Lecture)

In this lecture, we will review vagueness and ambiguity. I provide several examples to help you practice seeing when a statement is more vague (less precise) than another and practice identifying the different forms of ambiguity.

When discussing ambiguity, this lecture focuses on examples of ambiguity due to syntax and semantics. Examples of grouping ambiguity will be covered in the next lecture.
