Today, I will continue the series by introducing to you another stitch which is called popcorn stitch. Basically, the ribbing pattern produced by popcorn stitch is relatively similar to that produced by Bobble stitch.
The most striking difference is the crochet technique of the stitch. Popcorn stitch is made up of 5 complete double crochets placed into 1 stitch. You will then need to remove the yarn from the hook, insert the hook into the 1st stitch and pull the 5th stitch over to join these stitches into 1. Between every 2 popcorn stitches is, indeed, 1 single stitch.
Unlike Bobble stitch, popcorn stitch saves you from manually shaping the lumps, meaning that you do not need to use the finger to plump up the stitches.The ribbing pattern will present itself nicely and conspiciously on the surface.
