Giant Boeing 777X takes off nearly vertically in Dubai
The Boeing 777X is a widebody plane capable of carrying up to 425 passengers
So it’s extra impressive when an aircraft of this size pulls off a steep takeoff
The Boeing 777X was just spotted pulling off an incredible maneuver.
It’s currently one of the largest and most advanced twin-engine commercial aircraft in the skies.
Boeing presented the 777X at the Dubai Air Show to show off its skills.
It executed a maneuver typically reserved for fighter jets, made all the more impressive given its immense size.
The Boeing fleet is known for combining cutting-edge technology with reliability.
Just watching the 747 tackle extreme crosswinds during a landing or how artfully another pulls off a low landing is proof enough.
The planes are also capable of impressive maneuvers purely for the sake of showing off.
The Boeing 777X journeyed to the Dubai Air Show alongside the rest of the fleet.

It’s typical to see fighter jets performing incredible stunts at these shows.
These jets have been designed with highly technical and complicated operations in mind.

So seeing a giant Boeing 777X performing one was pretty thrilling.

It’s a widebody version of the 777 and the first commercial aircraft to have folding wings.

The plane is powered by GE9X engines, the largest and most fuel-efficient jet engines ever made for commercial flights.

There will be two models in the 777X series, the 777-8, which carries up to 375 passengers, and the 777-9, which has room for 425.

So needless to say, it’s a big plane.

At the Dubai Air Show, the Boeing performed a steep, almost vertical takeoff into the sky.

The plane is intended for commercial use, seeing one of these takeoffs is a rare occasion.

Plus Boeing recently delayed the 777X’s release date to 2025, making a sighting even more rare.
