Behindwoods.com honoured the best performers of 2013 by presenting them Gold Medals in a prestigious event exclusively held for the distinguished members of the film fraternity at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai on June 15th 2014.
K.Balachander was presented the Golden Legacy Award, for completing 50 years in Indian cinema. Behindwoods became the first media house to felicitate Late Balu Mahendra with the Life time achievement award in 2014. Kamal haasan was honoured with the Legendary Performance Award for Viswaroopam. A.R.Rahman received an award from MS Viswanathan for the first time in his life for Best Music in Kadal and Maryan. Bharathiraja, Suriya, director Bala, Dhanush, Siva Karthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi, Pooja Umashankar, music director Anirudh, Santhanam, Na Muthkumar, Kishore, Ram, Susintharan, Madhie were among the other film personalities who were honoured.
