Big Buddy Heater Mods

This video lists the modifications I’ve made to my Big Buddy portable heater for use in an ice fishing shelter.

Topics covered and suggested products include:

* Mr. Heater Big Buddy Carry bag #F274889.

* Mr. Heater Big Buddy 12 foot extension hose with regulator #F271803.

* Adding a cooking grill.

*Adding a simple, lightweight portable base that raises the heater four inches above the floor.

* Removing the rear panel to gain access to the heater’s wiring.

* Splicing the wiring to add power leads for a 6 volt power cable with alligator clips.

* Soldering the leads for a 5 volt USB power cable.

Note that the Mr. Heater website FAQ states that the #F273699 fuel filter is NOT required for the #F371803 extension with regulator because it is a low-pressure hose.
