Mark (Butch Patrick) goes backstage after a magic show and falls inside of a large magic hat and enters the land of living hats: Lidsville.  Mark discovers a magic ring and is pursued by Hoo Doo (Charles Nelson Reilly) who is determined to take back the ring for himself.

When Mark (Butch Patrick) visits a theme park’s magic show, he sneaks backstage and discovers a magic hat that transports him into the land of living hats: Lidsville. In order to find his way back home, Mark must learn to live with the good and the bad hats controlled by the evil magician Horatio W. Hoodoo (Charles Nelson Rielly.)
