This video highlights the key steps and procedures for a successful FILCOTEN installation.
FILCOTEN® is a high-quality fiber-reinforced composite. The highly dosed fiber proportion in combination with high-performance concrete opens up completely new perspectives compared to the classic building material concrete. No plastics are used in FILCOTEN® technology.
Prepare the trench based on the dimensions of the trench in the installation guide.
Determine the type of outlet, vertical or horizontal, with or without a sand trap.
Set the final elevation level of the top of the corner bracket by means of a string line or a laser level.
The final elevation level must be 5 to 5mm lower than the finished surface.
Place concrete pavers or bricks next to the drainage channel joints.
Install the end plates at both ends of your installation.
It is essential that the grates be installed in the drainage channels, and covered with a plastic film or a protective tape when pouring the concrete.
Cover each concrete joint to strengthen the installation.
Let the embedment concrete cure underneath the channels before pouring the final concrete casting.
Backfill the bottom and sides of the trench according to the typical design, based on the chosen finishing materials. Make sure to distribute the concrete evenly.
Connect the sand trap to your sump.
