A couple of hours prior to performing on stage at Phnom Penh’s Pontoon Lounge, Dengue Fever’s Cambodian lead singer Chhom Nimol and bass player Senon Williams talk to AsiaLIFE Cambodia’s Marissa Carruthers about how the band was formed. The pair tell how the California Indie rock band almost never formed as Nimol failed to turn up to her first two auditions. Fortunately she did otherwise the world would have missed the band’s distinctive mix of Cambodian pop and psychedelic rock.
