Timelapse: Constructing Skywalker Sound's Newest Foley Stage | Lucasfilm

Skywalker Sound's Foley artists have had many elaborate workspaces over the years, and back in 2015, the team built out a large custom Foley stage to meet client demand for their Foley teams. As seen in this timelapse of the construction, the stage features custom-designed sound pits and even a water tank. The massive door on the sidewall allows vehicles and other large objects to be moved into the space for recording. Here Foley artists like John Roesch and Shelley Roden apply their craft to create performance-oriented sounds live to the visuals on screen.
