Here is another famous Bengali Traditional veg recipe Kochu Shak. It is a very popular Bengali veg recipe with Kochur Shak. So let’s learn how to make Bengali Style Kochu Shak and make it your own.

Ingredients of Niramish Kochu Shak Recipe:
1. Kochu shak (yam stem).
2. Slitted green chilli (4-6 no).
3. Turmeric powder( ¼ tsp
4. Salt (as per your taste).
5. Sugar (as per your taste).
6. Mustard oil (3 tbsp).
7. Black cumin seeds (¼ tsp).
8.  1 Dry chilli.
9. Chick peas (½ cup soak in water).  

Methods of How to make Kochu Shak:
1. First boil the Yam stem added ½ tsp of salt.
2. Drained all the water and smashed it very well.
3. Heat the pan and add 3 tbsp mustard oil.
4. Add ¼ tsp black cumin seed, 1 dry chilli. Fry for 10 sec.
5. Add ½ cup of soaked chick peas and fry it in medium flame for 30 sec.
6. Add slitted green chilli fry for 30 sec in medium flame.
7. Add boiled yam stem, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp salt, and ½ tsp of sugar. Mixed it well.
8. Fry it in medium flame for 10 min.
9. Now taste the sugar and salt. Add more as per your taste.
10. Finally fry it for more 5 min.
11. Your recipe is ready. Serve hot with steamed rice.
