Have started to wade through the thousands of railway images collected over 40 years of railway photography. Another memorable one was finding a buch of 45's quietly being eaten by the undergrowth one Sunday afternoon in (I think) 1991 here at March. These were the days when you could gain access to most B.R. sites, or at least find a friendly foreman who would read you the riot act, then say..fill yer boots!!..that was before H & S went (as it is now)..completely out off the other end of Richter Scale! So, before the world went nuts, you could record these very special 'of interest' places and loco's before they came into contact with the cutters torch. Why don't authorities obtain from the individual a signed  declaration..your problem if get injured, and allow access - or..individually we have to pay for a railway awareness course, get a certificate/licence for access to sites, pay own insurance etc? (Money spinner for someone / organisation), personally, no problem as I see it...(cripes,,need a licence to fish even, eh?)..that could allow access to all sites?  Anyone else with bright ideas or common sense welcome to comment.
