Forestry with Mike Snyder

In this episode of Northwoods Whitetails, we will be exploring Vermont's forests with former Vermont Commissioner of Forests, Parks, and Recreation, as well as the author of Woods Whys: An Exploration of Forests and Forestry, Mike Snyder.

Mike joins us for a walk through Sterling Forest to explain his role as volunteer and county forester for the town of Stowe that began in the 90s to implement a three-phase timber harvesting project that would aid in habitat enhancement, recreational access, and enhancement, forest health maintenance and timber production for local economic use.
