Mingyue Gorge, also known as Chaotian Gorge, is located on the Jialing River 2 kilometers south of Chaotian District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. The canyon is about 4 kilometers long and 100 meters wide. It has stone cliffs on both sides. To the east is the famous Chaotian Ridge. About 2 kilometers deep, it is a canyon formed by the Jialing River breaking through the mountains.
