Many pregnant patient have distance from the lowest part of the uterus to the highest part of the uterus measured with a tape measurement. This we call it as Symphysio Fundal Height. For fetuses after 24 weeks of gestation the measurement is made by identifying the upper border of symphysis pubis and fundal height and measure distance between the tape measurement. The measurement in centimeter is then applied to the gestation by simple rule of thumb.
