How to: Multi-function / Signal Switch Replacement 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser (Battery Drain Problem)

2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser: Common
2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser: Common issue: Multi-function switch Malfunction.
Causing:
1. Fog light always ON
2. High battery Voltage reading
3. Battery Drain
4. Hair loss from battery drain
Honestly, the Multi-function switch is a bad design. and terrible purpose.
If you are familiar with this switch, you need to have the cluster lights at its maximum, before you can even turn on the interior lights. Maybe just make a separate switch for this? Who approved this?
So much questionable design on this vehicle. It hurts to even wonder why.
Anyway, here is the process on how to replace your multi-function switch.
Even if you don't need it now, it is bound to fail Just because it tries to do everything in one location.
Really just poor design,
