I show the car engine cylinder drop test, how to find a misfiring cylinder with a scan tool. This video demonstrates how to deactivate engine cylinders to find a misfire or how to drop cylinders with an active scan tool. The test is also known as a car engine power balance test. I use an Autel scanner, the Autel MP808TS for this active test. It also covers finding faulty injectors. I also cover how to drop cylinders without a scan tool. P0300 misfire is a common challenge to deal with and  dropping cylinders to find misfires is one good place to start. Using an active scan tool makes this is a simple DIY car repair procedure for finding a cylinder misfire. How to find car engine cylinder misfires or finding a misfiring cylinder is critical when troubleshooting that car engine running rough. Sometimes, scan tools are not able to show cylinder misfires, because detection thresholds have not been met. I use the control selected cylinder fuel cut active test on the Autel MaxiPRO to achieve this. This is sometimes called the control cylinder fuel cut function. Hope this is useful.
