How-to Easily Transcribe in Adobe Premiere
Hello My name is Nathanael Rittichier. And today we are going to be talking about how to transcribe audio in adobe premiere. If you are needing to transcribe audio in Adobe Premiere - Adobe Premiere CC is what I'm using. They have a rather easy way of doing this. We'll go up to "Window." We are going to go to "Meta Logging." And what you are going to want to have done is have made an audio export of your track. It's going to be a lot easier for your system to process the audio than having to use the video as well. It's best, I've found, to transcribe with a WAV file. If you look over here this is the transcription that has already been done. We are going to be doing this one right here. So, you will click on it, its a WAV. We want to come over to this area that says speech analysis. If these are open go ahead and twirl the down. And we are going to click analyze. I speak English so we are going to select English. You can Download other Languages from adobe. You want to select the highest quality. If you have more than one speaker you will probably want to identify speakers. It will let you know that the voice has changed. We are going to click "OK." Now this has done is it has thrown it over into the Adobe Media Encoder. its going to sit there on its own and work. You can edit while it's working. So, it's going to do its think. So when its done. We will come back over here into our editor. And you'll notice that if you click on the file that you just transcribed there will be words. This is your transcription. So if you are doing an interview edit and you are just needing to know where the dialogue is. This is a great way to do that. If you are wanting to get this our into a document form you can always select one word and then ether is a copy all option. And you can always paste it into a new text file.
