Can I Feed Mealworms To My Crested Gecko

Where did this myth come from!!!   Seriously, I've hear this for years and years!  
Can I feed Mealworms to my crested gecko?  Can I feed mealworms to my leopard gecko?  Can I feed mealworms to ' name your pet reptile '?
The Supreme Gecko channel received a very challenging comment recently denouncing the use of mealworms as a feeder insect for crested geckos.  Let's address this viewer's comment in a POSITIVE way in this video.
