Rockstar recommends installing disc one, but leaving disc two to run from the DVD drive. Why? Digital Foundry reveals some startling pop-in issues - that are resolved if you follow the developer's advice. UPDATE: we can confirm that the problem goes away if you install the play disc to a USB flash drive, leaving the hard drive free for the mandatory install.
