Traditonal Samoan War Dance - The Ailao

This video features a few traditional Samoan Dances such as the Sasa and the Samoan war dance called the Ailao performed in its original form and so forth. The Ailao is no longer practiced in its original form for it evolved into what is known today as the Siva Afi (Samoan Fire Knife Dance). Freddie Letuli of Tutuila originated the Fire Knife Dance in 1946 when he added Fire to the Ailao Dance.

I wanted to share this video for it shows the Samoan War Dance called the Ailao performed in its original form which is very rare to see.
