Fore-Edge Painting is a magical art-form that hides pictures on the gilded edge of a book, to be revealed by spreading its pages. Heritage craft artist, Martin Frost, has produced over 3,500 fore-edges over the last few decades and is recognised as one of the world’s leading exponents of the art. He has examples in collections around the world and in major library collection including the British Library. Martin shows you a number examples of traditional and multi-image fore-edges and modern fore-edge on a specially prepared Harry Potter edition.
