We look at ways to help you improve your smash power through good technique in our overhead action. We talk through some fundamental key points that you can try to develop your overhead smash.

Key points:
1. Forehand grip
2. Side on stance/position
3. Elbows up (like your pulling back a bow)
4. Relax arms and grip
5. Weight on back leg
6. Drive the hip through
7. Throwing action
8. Squeeze fingers when hitting
9  Rotate forearm
10. Behind shuttle so contact point is in front of your body
