Crystal Cathedral Gets New Name Approved by Vatican

Bishop Tod Brown announces the new name for the iconic Crystal Cathedral after receiving more than 4,000 suggestions one from as far away as the Netherlands. The Diocese of Orange purshased the Crystal Cathedral last February. The new name will be Christ Cathedral. The Cathedral and campus will be a focal point for Parish activities says Vicar and Rector, Fr. Christopher Smith. The Diocese will begin operations there in 2013, according to Church officials. Saturday's announcement took place after the ordination of four Catholic priests of Vietnamese descent.
