How to make Rusk toast at home | rusk toast recipe |

Rusk Toast recipe:

Ingredients:
All-purpose flour (maida) : 600gm
Sugar: 200gm
Custard powder: 30gm
Water: 250ml
Oil: 140gm
Vanilla powder: 6gm(optional)
Milk powder: 10gm
Salt: 5gm
Improver: 1gm(optional)
Butter 40gm
Yeast: 12gm
Yellow food colors 1/8 tsp


Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, custard powder, water, vanilla powder, milk powder, salt, improver, butter and yeast. Mix them thoroughly until you
get a smooth and consistent dough. Add oil and mix until smooth.  
Cover the bowl with a plastic wrap or clean  cloth and let the dough rest for about 2 hours to allow it to rise and ferment.
Preheat your oven to 200℃.
Take the risen dough and shape it into a loaf on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or greased with oil.
Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake at 200℃ for 30 minutes until the top turns golden brown.
Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Once the loaf is slightly cooled, use a sharp knife to slice it into thin pieces.
Reduce the oven temperature to 130℃.
Place the sliced pieces back on the baking tray and bake them at 130℃ for an additional 20 minutes or until they become crisp and dry, flipping them halfway through to ensure even toasting.
Remove the rusk toast from the oven and let them cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
