New Drug May Preserve Fertility During Breast Cancer Treatment

Each year in the U.S., nearly 49,000 women under the age of 50 are diagnosed with breast cancer. A new drug may allow women to undergo cancer treatment while maintaining their fertility. The drug Zoladex may make women less likely to experience ovarian failure, which is a common long-term effect of chemotherapy.
