My first day at United States Penitentiary Leavenworth was an eye opener. It was my first time in prison and I was very green. But, I quickly learned how to navigate prison life and ultimately I learned a lot and grew beyond measure during my time there.

In this video, I did ramble on about what led me there, so I will be following up this video with more in-depth stories in the future.

This video is not intended to glorify prison, it is simply reflection. Let's all be honest, prison sucks and no one should ever want to go there!

Every Saturday I share prison stories through my Life In The Feds series.

I look forward to sharing my perspective with you, as I did my prison time different than the average inmate. My focus from day one was self-improvement and changing my life.

After awhile, the other inmates I was housed with would see how disciplined and dedicated I was and began asking for help and guidance.

And that is what I did. It first began with mentorship, and slowly evolved into creating a Reentry Committee where I would routinely facilitate courses and seminars that I created to a hundred plus men in attendance at time.
