Displaying the Ruler:
Open Microsoft Word:

If you don't have a document open, create a new one or open an existing document.
Show or Hide the Ruler:

The ruler is usually displayed by default. If it's not, you can show or hide it by going to the "View" tab in the ribbon and checking or unchecking the "Ruler" option.
Adjusting Margins:
Click on the Page Layout tab:

Go to the "Page Layout" tab in the ribbon.
Set Margins:

In the "Page Setup" group, you'll find the "Margins" option. Click on the dropdown menu to choose a preset margin or select "Custom Margins" to set your own.
Adjusting Indentation:
Select the Text:

Click and drag to select the text you want to indent.
Use the Indent Markers on the Ruler:

On the ruler, you'll see small markers. The top triangle is for the first line indent, and the bottom rectangle is for the hanging indent. Drag these markers to adjust the indentation.
Setting Tabs:
Click on the Ruler:

To set a tab stop, click on the ruler at the position where you want the tab stop.
Tab Types:

Right-click on the ruler to choose different tab types (left-align, center, right-align, decimal).
Clearing Tabs:

To remove a tab stop, drag it off the ruler or right-click on it and select "Clear All."
Using the Paragraph Dialog Box:
Access the Paragraph Dialog Box:

You can access additional formatting options by right-clicking on the selected text and choosing "Paragraph" or by clicking the small arrow in the "Paragraph" group on the Home tab.
Indentation and Spacing:

In the "Paragraph" dialog box, you can find more detailed options for indentation and spacing.
