Boss Guide: How to beat The Guardian
The Guardian was supposed to help us out after we found all the heart stones. Instead, its turned on us! Time to smack some sense into this corrupted hunk of stone.
This battle will mostly be fought from horseback, so jump atop your trusty steed and don't stop moving! In the beginning, The Guardian will be trying to smash you with his giant club (right hand). As he swings, use your horse's dash ability to escape the hit, then immediately bring out your gun and fire away at the sticky bombs attached to his arm. This will cause the arm to come loose, giving you access to the heart stone on his shoulder. Use the Deathgrip ability to hop atop the stone and beat the crap out of it! Repeat this twice to destroy the right arm entirely.
With the right arm gone, The Guardian will begin to fire giant sticky bombs from the cannon on his left arm. Again, use the gun to damage these bombs, which will start to glow when ready to explode. When this happens they will attempt to home in on you for the attack, so make sure to place The Guardian between you and the bomb so its the one getting hit! This will let you climb up The Guardian's shield, then jump across to Deathgrip the second stone and damage it. Again, repeat this twice to destroy the left arm, and win the boss battle!
