Magnetic lifehack #1 - Storage containers always at hand

Frequently used food, hardware or craft materials at hand but without having a cluttered workspace? No problem: Simply attach self-adhesive magnetic sheet (https://sumag.net/ms-a4-stic-y01) to the bottom of smaller storage containers. This will keep them in place on the fridge or on other metal surfaces.
Extra tip: If you do not have a ferromagnetic surface at hand, you can also create one using ferrotape, for example.

Magnet lifehack #2 - magnetise a screwdriver

Sometimes it is very difficult to hold screws in place before screwing them into the wall. There are two possible solutions to this problem:
1. Attach a magnet (e.g. https://sumag.net/overview-neodymium-y01) to the screwdriver. The magnet magnetizes the screwdriver and holds the screw at the tip.
2. Place the screwdriver (with a piece of cardboard in between) on a large super magnet. This aligns the elementary magnets in the screwdriver and magnetizes them.

Magnet lifehack #3 - Cutting aid with magnets

Attention sewing fans! Before cutting an individual piece out of fabric, a security allowance usually needs to be added to the pattern. However, with a magnetic cutting aid, you can omit this step.
Simply select a rod magnet (https://sumag.net/rod-magnets-y01) or some disc magnets in the width of the required seam allowance. The spacer then needs to be placed on the side of the tip of the scissors. When cutting, make sure that the magnet is guided along the edge of the paper – and just like that you have a piece of fabric that contains the desired seam allowance.

Magnet lifehack #4 - Clean honey spoon
When eating honey, you may ask yourself what to do with the sticky spoon afterwards, since it would be a shame to simply wash the remaining honey away.
As most cutlery is made of ferromagnetic material, the spoon shall be attached to the tip of a knife using a small super magnet (e.g. https://sumag.net/overview-neodymium-.... Place the knife on a tall container and the honey will melt off the spoon.

Magnetic lifehack #5 - Magnetic dishwasher info
Has it ever happened to you that a family member or flatmate accidentally added dirty dishes into the dishwasher alongside clean ones?
With a magnetic label, this will come to an end! It clearly indicates the wash status of the machine's contents. If your dishwasher has a ferromagnetic surface on the front, you can simply use magnetic foil (e.g. https://sumag.net/mag-sheet-y01).

Magnet lifehack #6 - rescue keys using magnets

Occasionally, keys decide to fall between a grille or into an otherwise hard-to-reach place.
But do not worry. Magnets are extremely helpful in this case. With a ring, eyelet or hook magnet (e.g. https://sumag.net/magnetic-hooks-i01) attached to a string or rope, keys can be fished out quickly. Incidentally, most keys are not ferromagnetic, fortunately, key rings are.
