The easiest fruit to grow
The easiest fruit to grow here in the Philly area. Strawberries. Plant and the rest of the work is harvest. Most reliable crop I have. The only thing that bothers it is the neighborhood groundhog. No threat of a late frost, hardy, early, sends out prolific runners, little disease and insect pressurel.
June bearers fruit from May 23rd till July. From there my everbearing types pick up the slack and I have fresh strawberries 6 months out of the year. All overall winner.
