E Sky Albatross 2.6m electric glider RC plane

This RC glider can be flown with or without electric motor and is probably best suited to the slope due to its 2.6Kg flying-weight.  It is an imposing RC plane that is a lot of fun to fly and very, very "clean" in the air.

Stall characteristics are very benign and the flaps have very little pitch-coupling whilst producing an excellent reduction in speed for landings.

Climb rate is fantastic.

For the test flights I used a Zippy Compact 3300mAH 4S battery and a Jumper T16 transmitter with FrSky D8R receiver.

Pros:
- very high density foam means it's strong and rigid
- no screws or glue required for assembly
- quality moldings, good hardware
- all servos and wiring pre-installed

Cons:
- battery space limited (several 4S 3200mAH batteries I tried would not fit)
- fiddly assembly (possibly due to the fact that this may not have been a production unit)
- black foam popcorns in the sun (get the white!)
- too heavy for light-air thermal soaring.

Bottom line:
This is a very fun model with an imposing size that can fly both very fast and relatively slow.  It is easy to fly and would be a blast on the slope!
