After several years of research, joining forces with several researchers, listening to and reading several testimonies given by witnesses, and using the overwhelming amount of research documentation and audio recordings provided by Alternative Considerations of Jonestown and Peoples Temple, we have finally learned how and why Jim Jones decided to part ways with William Branham and resign his position as a high-ranking leader in Branham's "Message" sect.
Also, special thanks to Charles Paisley and christiangospelchurch.org for his research and documentation, to the staff at Alternative Considerations of Jonestown and Peoples Temple for answering my endless questions, and to all of the other researchers who have helped us flesh out the details to one of the most fundamental milestones in Jim Jones and Peoples Temple history. It is this chain of events that caused Jones to refocus Peoples Temple and head his faithful down the road that led to Jonestown.
