A brief description of the illustrious & magnanimous personality of Shri Shri 1008 Shri Vijayeendra Tirtha Swami Sripad
A saint, scholar & master of 64 different types of vidya's or knowledge forms. His Holiness was the shishya of the great seer Shri Shri Vyasraj Tirtha before he adorned the pontificate seat of Vibhudhendra Tirtha Mutt [now known as Shri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt], he succeeded Shri Shri Surendra Tirtha Swami Sripad
His Holiness occupied the pontificate seat for a period of 55 years and 5 months. His tenure is replete with his conquests over those trying to malign or ill-propogate the Madhwa Siddhanta, most important among them being Yemme Basava & Appayya Dikshit.
His Holiness has authored 104 commentaries / works which are a reflection of his intellect.
