This is the first time I've actually interviewed someone on this subject - And the fact it is with a poor, simple 98-year-old Jamaican man made this even more special, more authentic and, to be quite honest with you, a bit emotional for me.
He shared reflections on, among other things:
▶His migration from Kingston (Whitehall Avenue) to St. Elizabeth.
▶Life on the plantation (including food, meal, and punishment)
▶The 1938 sugar riot
▶The 1951 August flood
▶Alexander Bustamante and Norman Manley
▶Housing at the time
▶Clothes and shoes
▶His wish for the future of Jamaica
