Hazard Communication Safety Data Sheets

Thousands of chemicals are used in our personal lives and at work. While many are relatively harmless when handled properly, many are dangerous substances by nature. This training video was created to assist in training all employees concerning chemical hazards and appropriate precautionary measures. OSHA created the HazCom standard 29 CFR 1910.1200 to eliminate potential dangers by ensuring employees have the information necessary to protect themselves and their coworkers. This chemical information is conveyed via labels and Safety Data Sheets. The SDS is a mandated standardized 16 section detailed information bulletin prepared by the manufacturer or importer of a chemical which describes the chemical.
