Career Focused Education: A New Beginning

This video is intended to introduce the major gaps in the current education system namely lack of student specific curriculum, soft skills and communication skills, preparedness for industry needs etc. The video also points out to the need of career counselling and introduces the background story behind beginning of the Province Academy of career education. I, Dr Saji Balakrishnan, am the Chairman of the institution and try to convey through this video about the importance of taking remedial steps to improve the shortcomings of the current curriculum and emphasizes the need for career guidance for high school and undergraduate college students. Everything that I say in these videos is purely through my own experiences. This also means that the points presented and my advice may not always be the best. So, in case I make a mistake or you feel something could be improved, the best way to correct me will be to share your point of view in the comments, so that everyone can benefit from it. I do not claim perfection and would love to learn and grow. The idea is to reach out to students, parents, teachers, employers and other stakeholders in the society and to contribute for improving the standards of our academic system.
