Michael and Alex | Love Like That (+ 4x01)

Ooo does it feel good to be back in the groove of things. This video is way more single episode focused than any of my others because: 1. I was just so excited to finally have new content to use, and 2. Michael's journey in the episode gave me an entirely new topic to work through.

I think the idea of "home" is such a central theme to their entire relationship. It's been clear since we first met Michael that he's searching for a way home (literally and metaphorically), and Alex tells Maria that when Michael kissed him in high school, it was the first time he liked his hometown (sadly couldn't fit that clip in here). But I don't think this episode looks at home in the same way as the show has in the past. Michael doesn't doubt that Alex is his home, but he does doubt that good things can stick and that he won't mess things up. It's somewhat like imposter syndrome but within a relationship. It was just super fun to approach this topic from a different angle.

I threw this together incredibly fast. Like super fast. Like "I finished it yesterday, but I didn't want to post it until today" fast. Because of that, I had to make do with the clips I could pull. Hope some weird "I don't want the watermark in the video" crop jobs aren't too distracting.
